VTL: Singapore residents can now visit 16 countries without quarantining

Be Travel-Ready: 5 Tips for Safer Trips During the Covid Recovery

If you are a fully vaccinated Singapore resident, you can now visit 16 countries via the Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) scheme without serving quarantine (other requirements may apply). These countries are Brunei, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Malaysia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, the United States, Australia and South Korea. As entry requirements remain fluid, please always check the relevant authorities’ websites when planning your trip.

To be considered fully vaccinated, you must have had two doses of any vaccine approved by the WHO, or one dose of Johnson & Johnson. Those who have recovered from Covid-19 (proof required) and have had a single vaccine dose are also considered "vaccinated" under the VTL scheme. You cannot travel until 14 days have elapsed since vaccination (28 days for Johnson & Johnson).

Returning to Singapore via VTL

You must book a specific VTL flight to re-enter Singapore through the VTL scheme. You should exercise caution when booking your flights, since not all flights are operated under the VTL initiative.

You must not have been or transited through a non-VTL country in the previous 14 days prior to arrival in Singapore.

But you can visit multiple VTL countries on the same trip and still use VTL flights.

Travellers on a VTL flight to Singapore must take two Covid-19 PCR tests:

●       A pre-departure test within the 48 hours before departure of flight.

●       An on-arrival test at Changi Airport. (You can pre-book and pay for it here)

Infants aged 2 and under are exempted from all PCR tests.
